Ah, my darling, when over the purple horizon shall loom
The shrouded mother of a new idea, men hide their faces,

D.H. Lawrence (1885-1930) was an English novelist, poet, and essayist known for his exploration of human sexuality and relationships. His works include the novels "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and "Sons and Lovers," as well as numerous volumes of poetry, including "Pansies" and "Birds, Beasts and Flowers." Lawrence was also a controversial figure in his time, and his works were frequently banned for their explicit content.
