Yuán Méi (1716-1798) was a Chinese poet, painter, and calligrapher who is considered one of the most important figures in the history of Chinese literature. His poetry often dealt with themes of nature, morality, and the human experience, and his most famous works include "Rhapsody on the Plum Blossom" and "Yuan Mei's Garden."
