Daylight Saving
My answers are inadequate
To those demanding day and date
And ever set a tiny shock
Through strangers asking what’s o’clock;
Whose days are spent in whittling rhyme-
What’s time to her, or she to Time?
Dorothy Parker (1893-1967) was an American poet, writer, and satirist. She is best known for her sharp wit and biting commentary on social issues, as well as her contributions to the New Yorker magazine. Parker's poetry, such as "Resumé" and "One Perfect Rose," is characterized by its humor and irony.
