The moon’s a little prairie-dog.
He shivers through the night.
He sits upon his hill and cries
For fear that I will bite.
The sun’s a broncho. He’s afraid

Vachel Lindsay
Vachel Lindsay (1879-1931) was an American poet who often performed his work in public, accompanied by music or visual aids. He was known for his use of vernacular language and his interest in social and political issues. Some of his best-known works include "The Congo" and "General William Booth Enters into Heaven."
